The Grove was amazing! It was our first stop on our honeymoon and it couldn't have been more perfect. The rooms are spacious but cozy. I love the eclectic feel with all the books and antiques. Out side the building, the garden area is full of color and life. We saw a pair of beautiful barn owls. Ann and Denley are so kind and hospitable. Of course, the breakfast was fantastic!
We booked a night here almost by happenstance, just because it was located in the right location to stop for the night during our drive down the East Coast. Ann and Denley, the owners, are gracious hosts and gladly gave us a tour of the property. The Inn is a large manor home that has been lovingly restored by the owners. Much of the furniture and furnishings are original to the home and date back into the 1700's. Other pieces are period reproductions made by Denley himself in a carpentry shop on site. Unlike the bedrooms in most B&B's in which I've stayed, the bedrooms here are quite large and very well appointed. The kids (12 and 14) especially enjoyed staying in Katie's Room - outfitted with twin beds, and watching the chickens which Ann and Denley raise on the property.

The most wonderful place in South Carolina. The owners are so sweet, friendly, and caring. Breakfast each morning was amazing. It's more than worth it to reserve a romantic dinner. It was a romantic getaway to remember.
