We kind of stumbled across the Marion County Museum in Marion, South Carolina. It was originally the first public school in Marion County. It houses the most extraordinary collection of artifacts and memorabilia going back to Francis Marion, who fought in the Revolutionary War. The upper floors have a classroom that was exactly like the one I used to sit in as a child. If you are a history buff, be sure to check this place out.

Always something new to see. Anything from war memorabila to an individuals toy collection. The curator is extremely knowledgeable and equally as curtious. An excellant choice of where to spend a few hours.

Fantastic place
